Using Screenforge
These terms apply when you use the Screenforge website or app. They explain what Screenforge provides, how it can be used, and how analytics and third-party tools fit into the product.
Responsible use
- Please use Screenforge in ways that comply with applicable law and respect the rights of other people.
- You are responsible for getting any permissions, notices, or consents needed before recording screens, audio, cameras, or other content.
- That includes respecting privacy, intellectual property, employment, platform, and data protection rules that apply to your situation.
- Please avoid activity that interferes with the website, app, or related infrastructure in ways that could harm availability, integrity, or security.
Local recording and exports
Screenforge is designed to capture, edit, and export media locally on your device. Export quality, performance, and compatibility depend on your hardware, operating system, and the tools available on your system.
You remain responsible for the content you create with Screenforge and for maintaining backups of any recordings, project files, or exported media that matter to you.
Telemetry and diagnostics
The Screenforge website and app may generate analytics, telemetry, and diagnostic events for product improvement, release measurement, reliability monitoring, and support. More detail on that appears in our Privacy Policy.
This data is meant to help us understand how Screenforge performs in real use. It may include product events, installation or version details, device or operating system context, and crash or error information.
Third-party software and open source
Some Screenforge workflows may rely on third-party software available on your device, including FFmpeg. FFmpeg is credited to the FFmpeg project and remains subject to its own licenses, notices, and distribution terms.
Screenforge may also use other open-source software components. Those components remain subject to their respective licenses, and nothing in these terms limits or overrides those licenses where they apply.
Ownership
Screenforge and its website, branding, software, and related materials are owned by Screenforge or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of the app or website to you.
You retain your rights in the recordings, project files, and other content you create with Screenforge, subject to any rights of third parties whose content, systems, or materials you record or use.
Availability and updates
We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue any part of Screenforge at any time. Features, release schedules, supported platforms, and system requirements may change without notice.
We may also revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
A few important limits
Screenforge is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. That means we cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or workflow.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of Screenforge, including data loss, workflow interruption, export issues, or business losses.
